Open Source Autonomous Driving Leader Tier IV Opens Silicon Valley Office

Tier IV, Inc. announced the opening of it’s North America headquarters in Palo Alto, CA which will further strengthen the partnerships and adoption of Tier IV’s platforms and services based on Autoware*, the leading open-source software for autonomous driving.
“This is an important milestone in Tier IV’s expansion strategy and demonstrates our commitment to partners and customers of the Autoware ecosystem in North America.” said Dr. Shinpei Kato, founder of Autoware and Chief Technical Officer of Tier IV.
In addition to scaling business for Tier IV’s autonomous drive platform and services, Tier IV North America, Inc. will work to expand the membership base of and develop business partnerships across the Autoware Foundation for the global advancement of autonomous drive technology and solutions based on open-source software.
